It's My Birthday!

Is is selfish to want to dedicate a whole blog post to myself!? I hope not, because that's what this is!
It has been a busy month! I got to do lots of fun stuff, and have also had some not so good things happen... but that's life!
February flew by with great speed, and I'm really kinda glad... but now that March is pretty much gone I feel like I never have enough time in the day.
It seems like time always gets away from me! I can never seem to keep up with anything in my life... but I guess it's okay because I'm feeling much better lately.
Two weeks ago I had a little episode... but it's got some history. So for the last year or so, I've been feeling yucky physically. I started to get dizzy spells everyday, and super bad migraines too. I've never felt so bad ever... which is saying a lot for all the yucky stuff I've had to deal with. Anyway, so adding the migraines and the dizziness to my insomnia was NOT good... So two weeks ago I was putting away the clean dishes so I could re-load the dishwasher and run it, and waiting for the kids to get home from school. So I'm standing on a step stool, because I'm super short and I was putting a bowl away in a tall cabinet. I turn around to step off the stool, and everything just went black. The next thing I remember is looking at the bottom of the stove. I can hear the piano playing and the only thing I can think is who is playing the piano... because it had just been me and Eden at home. Instantly I knew it was Dallin, I don't know why I knew it but I did. So I yell for him and he comes running in. I couldn't really move... it felt like I had just run a marathon! I was laying on my stomach and my head was throbbing so bad. Dallin helps turn me over and sit up, and everything started to spin. Gordon had gone over and told the neighbor that something was wrong and she came over just after I woke up. She started talking to me and I couldn't really understand what she was saying... I just heard her talking. I instantly started bawling. I didn't know what had happened and the kids were home, NOT safe. I couldn't stop crying! Just as the neighbor is helping my up, Ben comes in the door. They got me to the couch and all I could do was sit there and cry. The kids were all freaking out, understandably. Ben got me an ice pack for my face, apparently I landed face first... it hurt. I was finally able to stop crying, and I tried to figure out what happened. But I couldn't remember ANYTHING.
So I went to the doctor who told me that she thinks it's stress induced seizures... So she gave me some drugs... One for my insomnia, one for the migraines, and one in an anti-anxiety. So far, I feel good... I've been sleeping SSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good! It makes a world of difference, and I've been feeling so much better. So other than that, things are great.
Today is a special day for me... nothing special will probably happen, but I alwys try to enjoy my birthday every year (whether or not anything special is planned, or expected.) Sometimes it's nice not to have to worry about anything and just enjoy having a day to yourself. I don't get that much, so it's going to be nice today.
On Friday I got to babysit for some of my favorite people! Becca's kiddos are my favorite and we always have so much fun! Her kids are so funny and they make me laugh so much! It was really nice to see them again, it's been way too long!
On Saturday morning I got to go to the Color Festival in Salem with some of my good friends! It was fun, way too many people for my liking... but fun none the less! If I ever go again it will be to get some awesome photos. :)
I was able to have a BBQ with my family and some friends on Saturday afternoon/evening. It was awesome to be able to spend a few hours with everyone and have fun!
Anyway, it was a great weekend. And I have the feeling this is going to be an even greater week! :)

How bout a photo of my yummy cake! :)

Here's a photo from the Color Festival. :)

And the Salt Lake Temple! I got to go spend an day in Salt Lake with some great friends!
